Anti-Cancer Drugs, such as chemotherapy aimed at stopping the abnormal growth of cancer cells, anti-cancer drug acts on both normal cells and cancerous cells. All cells are more receptive to the action of drugs during active cell reproduction. Cells, which reproduce most rapidly, are the most likely to be destroyed. Unfortunately, some cells-such as hair follicles-also divide rapidly and can be affected by chemotherapy as well. The rate of fallout can vary with each patient. Hair loss may start approximately 10-14 days after the first treatment depending upon the intensity of the treatment. Hair loss in most cases is reversible after the last treatment. The growth of your hair may take 6 months to a year.
